Jeffrey is a Democratic Candidate for State Representative of Michigan's 4th House District which includes Hamtramck and parts of Detroit. Born in 1980, he was adopted from Bogotá, Colombia and naturalized in Detroit. Jeffrey was raised in a multiracial Jewish household in Huntington Woods, Michigan. He moved to Detroit in 2013.
Jeffrey is a Policy Advisor to the Southwest Detroit Community Benefits Coalition, Urban Policy Institute Fellow, and he serves in the Michigan Air National Guard and U.S. Air Force. Previously, Jeffrey served as the Organizing Director for Garlin Gilchrist II for Detroit City Clerk, Mobility Specialist for the Planning and Development Department at the City of Detroit, Mobility Program Manager at Metro Matters, Policy Consultant to the Detroit Land Bank Authority, and Policy Analyst and Community Advocate for Detroit City Council Member Raquel Castañeda-López. He is a Detroit Revitalization Fellowship, Build Institute, AmeriCorps, and National Outdoor Leadership School Alum. He is also a member of the Belle Isle Conservancy, Motor City Freedom Riders, and Gladstone Block Club.
Jeffrey earned his Master of Public Administration degree from DePaul University's School of Public Service and his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Bowling Green State University.
